I think every son or daughter of a camera owner has seen a picture of himself/herself with schmutz all over his/her face. So here's a shot of Henry for posterity:






He liked sweet potato as much as I enjoy a root canal. Granted, I've never had a root canal, but he didn't exactly give sweet potato a chance. And P.S. "schmutz" is now a word for the purposes of any future Scrabble games in which I participate.

Ouch!

Henry got four shots today at his six month appointment and he has the bandaids to prove it. He also weighed in at a whopping 17 pounds, 12 ounces. That's 50th percentile in weight and 85th percentile in tummy size.

I also thought I would throw in a picture of Henry enjoying an afternoon at the National Gallery of Art a month or so ago. He was a bit perplexed by the Mark Rothko exhibit but did enjoy the Post-Impressionist pieces by Matisse and Van Gogh on display in The Chester Dale Collection. Notice his dad in the background eavesdropping on a conversation of French tourists.

Nice Legs

It's getting warm here in DC so it's time to break out the shorts and start showing off those lily-white, but adorable, legs. Here are a few pics of Henry hanging out in his favorite toy, the Exersaucer, and helping Mom clean out the front flower bed. And by helping out I mean playing in his bouncy seat and not crying.
