Roll Thunder, and Bulls

Bummer - they both lost.

Happy Memorial Day, or depending on how old you are, Decoration Day Weekend. Last Sunday we made our first family trip to Lincoln Park, which is a huge green space just east of the US Capitol in a neighborhood fittingly known as Capitol Hill. Frankly, it is a beautiful park full of dogs, families with children, kids on bikes, and twenty-year-old-somethings pretending to read books in order to pick up other twenty-year-old-somethings pretending to read other books.

Also, if you're ever in the Capitol Hill neighborhood and visit the aforementioned park, be sure to grab lunch at Good Stuff Eatery. Spike from Top Chef is the man, and he was there when we stopped by to enjoy one of his famous burgers. We took a few shots of the occasion.

Recipe for a solid Friday night:

Fib to wife and indicate that sister recently gave birth and desires female company. Coerce wife into buying plane ticket to visit said sister.

Once cabin door has been closed, put son to bed at 7:30. Chop cilantro, zucchini, squash and any other vegetables your heart desires. Be sure to have yellow miso in stock. Email me if you need any further details on this creation:

We're watching "The Switch" and I might kill myself

To date, I don't think we've dispensed any advice for a healthy and rewarding life on this electronic diary. Our original intent was (and still is) to post pictures of Henry so that family and friends can scope out the little duder and his amazing physique.

But tonight we'll break from tradition and offer some words to live by: never watch any movie with anyone from the cast of "Friends." Pick up a hobby. Get a library card. Blog. Join Facebook, but don't subject yourself to any motion picture with Jennifer Anniston, David Schwimmer or Joey.

Back to the main focus - Henry had a ball recently doing some fake cooking with the pots and pans from his favorite drawer:

Spring has sprung

Greetings from D.C. After a crazy and exhausting April, we have done our best to enjoy the awesome May weather that will surely turn into another humid summer before too long. Here are some recent shots of Henry helping us plant new flowers in the front flowerbed.
